Presto Pasta Night Roundup #7

We're back for the seventh week in a row. This week there's rich and creamy to light and lively, and everything looks so delicious I can't wait to share. So let's get right down to the main course - pasta all around!

First one to show up is Tigerfish of Teczcape. She is back with a gorgeous (all those amazing photos, it was hard to choose which one to share)Teppanyki - udon dish. She mixes Japanese and Chinese influences to whip up this spicy dish.

First time PPNer, Judith at the wonderful Aroma Cucina sends us such a beautiful version of anchovy pasta that I'm drooling. It's off to the kitchen for me to whip some up!

Amy of Nook & Pantry is back, I'm so happy to say, with such a pretty pasta - Campanelle with Italian Sausages, Sun-dried Tomatoes and Broccoli. I'll be heading out tomorrow to try to find some of those beautiful lily shaped noodles.

Paz of the most excellent Cooking Adventures of Chef Paz joins in the fun for the first time with a beautiful Spring pasta - Linguine with Asparagus & Garlic - a favorite combo of mine.

Sara of I Like to Cook is back with a great recipe and an even better story. Check out her Tomato & "Cheese" Pasta. It had me laughing and shaking my head in a "me too" kind of way.

Glenna of A Fridge Full of Food is a first timer to PPN and I'm glad she came! There's nothing better than a big bowl of Mac & Cheese and the best part of hers is what's hidden beneath! Check it out!

And if one Mac & Cheese dish is great, then two kinds can only be better. Myriam of Once Upon a Tart is back with a Swiss version of the classic dish. This one uses Gruyere cheese and is topped with lots of golden onions. It's been her favorite for 30 years, so it probably will become mine too.

Sher over at What Did You Eat is back with this long time love of ours - Wonton Soup. I, of course, am lazy and usually buy frozen wontons to add to my broth, but Sher shows how easy it is to make the little beauties. It deserves two photos, don't you think?

Anh of Food Lover's Journey is back with some gorgeous hot 'n spicy Laksa. It's new to me and I'll definitely be trying it out. Being a bit of a wimp, I'll probably stick to the recipe as given, but you can spice it up like she suggests.

Deborah of The Humble Housewife is a first timer to PPN and shares this amazing Creamy Crab Spaghetti. I can't wait to try it out. It sounds perfectly divine! Crab, cream and a squeeze of lemon to finish it off. I'm moaning as I write.

Haalo of Cook (Almost) Anything is back with a very lovely and light Angel Curls with Salmon & Zucchini. After all those creamy dishes, this one won't add inches to the waistline, but will surely satisfy!

I couldn't resist buying Jamie Oliver's new book Jamie's Italy. Especially when I flipped to the Spaghetti Tetrazzini recipe. Here's my Sort of South Beach Diet version.

I will be adding late additions to this week's Presto Pasta Night until Saturday. Any I receive after that will be part of next week's PPN Event. So don't forget to join the fun. Remember that ALL noodles dishes count as pasta for this fun event. Find out how to participate here.

In the meantime....Happy Pasta Eating!!!

Ruth you're doing a great job on this. One of these days I'll manage an entry, I promise! Looking forward to having more time in about six weeks when I'm out of school!

Thank you both and Kalyn, I'm looking forward to a very SBD friendly pasta dish from you when you get a chance.

Moving to Halifax has been a HUGE endeavor, so I'll have to wait a couple of weeks myself before getting back on the WHB wagon!

Thank you for the lovely roundup. This event is really a success and will keep getting bigger and bigger. It was a great idea--who doesn't love pasta?
