Presto Pasta Nights

There have been a few wonderful new blogging events I've noticed in addition to my two favorites - Weekend Herb Blogging, created by Kalyn of Kalyn's Kitchen and Weekend Cookbook Challenge by Sara of I Like to Cook. Alanna of Veggie Ventures does Soup's On and she has an amazing collection that you have to check out if you're a soup person. Cyndi over at Cyndi Cooks is doing a Stew Thursdays...also delicious.

So naturally I thought I'd get in the act too with Presto Pasta Nights. After all, isn't pasta the third great comfort food category? The rules are simple....

    1. Post a pasta recipe on your site. By pasta, I mean any noodle dish - hot, cold, spicy, creamy, saucy, stuffed, from any and every culture - Pad Thai, Singapore Noodles, Macaroni & Cheese, Pasta salads...the possibilities are endless!

    2. Mention Presto Pasta Nights in the post and add a link back here.

    3. Email me the link to your post at ruthAT4everykitchenDOTcom

I'll be posting entries every Friday, so you'll have some great new recipes for the weekend.

Don't worry if you don't have your own blog, you can email your recipe directly to me at ruthAT4everykitchenDOTcom and I'll post it for you.

I thought I'd start the ball rolling with this very simple, very easy, very fast recipe. It only takes 10 minutes longer than it takes to boil water for the pasta. I used store bought fresh cheese tortellini and added a few ingredients...no other cooking is involved.

Lemony Cheese Tortellini with Spinach & Goat Cheese

So now let's see what delicious dishes you come up with. I'll be keeping a rolling post for them.

Hello Ruth :)
I bloghopped from Eliza's blog. I was wondering if it is too late to submit an entry for Pesto Pasta Night?
I could always submit next week, anyway, right?
Great idea. I just wished that I found out about this (and your blog, too!) earlier :)

Regards

how long does it take to prepare the whole thing (from start to end)?

Jy, I'm not sure what you mean by the whole thing...if you're talking about making a pasta dish, many of them can be done in the time it takes to boil water and cook the noodles.

If you're talking about hosting, it takes a few hours to put the roundup together
