Last Pasta Dinner in Toronto

I've been telling everyone that I'd be going to One of a Kind Pasta before leaving Toronto. Somehow the days whizzed by and I never did get there. Instead we ordered in from Big Man Gourmet Pizza. Don't you love the table? We actually sat on the floor and used these borrowed chairs as tables. I was so hungry, I forgot to take pictures. This is the remnants of the Spaghetti Bolognese - meat sauce with roasted garlic and mushrooms.

When I was growing up, my sister, brother and I came up with a name for our favorite spaghetti - Greeby spaghetti. Don't ask me how or why, and no one else in the family calls it that. It's the kind of spaghetti with meat sauce found in neighborhood "greasy spoons" and diners. My mother was offended that I like it better than hers. Anyway....Big Man's makes the best Greeby Spaghetti ever. We (my sister, Sharron and I) decided it might be a little too gourmet to be greeby. Whatever...it was delicious.

As I write this, I'm in Halifax and still seem to be rushing about. The kids are going on a road trip tomorrow, so things will calm down. It just means that Presto Pasta Night Roundup #9 will be just a little late this week. I'm still hoping for tomorrow, but I hope you'll bear with me. Please join in the fun. I'm really going to be looking for easy comfort food all next week and what is better than pasta!!! Click here to join the fun.
