First BBQ, First Breakfast, First Dining al Fresco

First, my apologies for not officially linking to last week's Presto Pasta Night Roundup, hosted by Daphne at More Than Words , or for thanking everyone for participating. Life has been hectic around here to say the least. And I still haven't had a chance to really check out the wonderful line up. We're still in the chaos that is post move, but I thought I'd share a few of our firsts...

First BBQ in three years...grilled Sweet Fennel Sausages from the Italian Market, which looks puny in the photo, but were truly juicy...
First Breakfast - frittata with fresh mushrooms, eggs, & onion from the Farmers Market in the old brewery...which will still go on, but many are officially moving to the new digs next week at the seaport...
First real dinner - first fresh corn on the cob from Elmridge Farm and BBQ salmon fillets (with just a sprinkling of brown sugar and a few grindings of pepper) from Mike's Fish Shop eaten al fresco on our lovely balcony which has a great view.

We're taking a break and heading out to camp to visit with the kids...and grandkids...more about that and all my other adventures later.

I will be hosting Presto Pasta Night this Friday, so send all your entries to me by Thursday...who knows, hopefully I'll have found the pasta pot by then and can join in the fun myself. Just email the link to ruth (at) 4everykitchen (dot) com.

Thanks Ladies, it is wonderful. I just had an awesome bubbles and lavender epsom salt bath with a glass of wine and a delicious novel. No more unpacking until tomorrow.
