Presto Pasta Night Roundup #86

Last week Judith of Think On It did an absolutely fantastic roundup. Thanks for the great commentary that accompanied all those terrific dishes. And a big thanks to all the wonderful contributors. I'll be going back time and time again.

But that said...it's time again for a new roundup for Presto Pasta Night! I love all the wonderful dishes that come our way from around the world week after week, so without further ado....

First in this week is Jaime of Good Eats 'n Sweet Treats who brings a beautiful version of one of my favorite combinations Basil Chicken over Angel Hair Pasta. Doesn't it just make you smile?

Mary of One Perfect Bite (even her banner is perfect) shares a perfectly delicious looking Capellini Capricciosi from Lidia Bastianich, Italian cook par excellence.

Arika of My Yummy Life made this lip-smacking, mouth-watering dish of Rigatoni with Artichoke Hearts and Asiago...and some other exciting news...but I'll let her tell you.

Kitchenetta of Got No Milk came up with an awesome version of Turkey Normandy that looks divine! I'm drooling and can't wait to try it.

Jin Hooi of Smell & Taste are My Memory shares a dish her husband wasn't too crazy about, but I think the rest of us will enjoy...Mustard Butter Cauliflower & Sausage Pasta.

Ning of Heart and Hearth is back with a fabulous Creamy Tomato & Prawn Pasta dish I will happily be trying out very soon.

Priyasuresh of Priya's Easy Tasty Recipes shares a very original Pasta & Potato Gratin with Bechamel Sauce that looks heavenly.

Dell of Cooking in the City, is another first time PPNer and whipped up Penne Carbonara for the first time. One of my favorite comfort dishes, so...thanks.

Ela of Everything's Herbed is joining us after much pressure from her sister Gay, my favorite Scientist in the Kitchen. I'm glad Ela decided to join in the PPN fun and share this awesome looking dish of Sauteed Squash and Dried Noodles. It's really called Ginisang Kalabasa at Miki, which makes it so exotic.

Christine of Eat First Diet Later has been swamped lately and making dinner is a challenge...except when it's Cabonossi and Tomato Penne. Sounds perfect for those days when you're too tired to even think.

Judith of Think On It, again great job last week! shares a very unItalian dish this time...it's a glorious looking Black Pepper & Rice Noodle dish that I want immediately!

Tigerfish of Teczcape is tired of all the doom and gloom talk (who isn't) so she whipped up this very comforting and delicious Chicken Macaroni Soup...perfect for the weather and the economic state of things.

And Daphne of More Than Words is back with a Fresh Mushroom Pasta for those crazy busy days. It comforts me just looking at it.

Marye of Baking Delights makes my favorite dish even better. Penne with Sweet Italian Sausages gets baked for 20 minutes for a great comfort dish.

Kevin of Closet Cooking always makes wonderful dishes for PPN, but this week he outdid himself with this Pastitsio with Greens. I'm on my way to his house right now!

Abby of Eat The Right Stuff is back with another tasty treat...simple to do even though she's still unpacking her kitchen...Orecchiette Con Salsiccia. I'm drooling, here!

Mrs Ergul of Mrs Ergul in the Kitchen is back with a very lovely dish of Lemon Chicken Scaloppini

And finally me... after seeing Mark Bittman's version of my family favorite Bow Ties & Kasha, I decided to make another comfort dish that I haven't done in years...Baked Stuffed Pasta Shells...this time with ground chicken, mushrooms and spinach.

And I even made pasta for dessert...again, thanks to Mark Bittman...Sweet Almond Milk Couscous...think exotic rice pudding with a hint of rose water.

Next week's fabulous guest host will be Melissa the Cooking Diva. You can email your entries to her directly - cookingdiva AT gmail DOT com.

Plus...Don't forget to check all the Presto Pasta Night Roundups dating back to March, 2007, see who's hosting for the next four weeks and check out guidelines and tips for entering and hosting.
