I really don't know how I do it, but it seems like yet another week of no pasta for me. I did have a plan, I swear. This month's Gourmet Magazine's has a fantastic sounding Spicy Crab Spaghettini with Preserved Lemon . I have some whole wheat spaghettini, sambal oelek for heat, crabmeat (okay, true it's in a can, but...it is good quality crabmeat), parsley, onion...the only thing I don't have and couldn't find anywhere is preserved lemons. I guess I'll have to make a batch of my own. Particularly since I seem to be drawn to a great many dishes that call for them. Unfortunately it takes at least five days before you can use them.
So, on the off chance you can find some, or have your own on hand...try the recipe and let me know what you think.
And as for what's for supper here....delicious leftovers of Soupe a l'oignon gratinee. Perfect for my sicky Honey and his tired wife who's too tired to even whip up a salad to go with it.
