It's officially Spring here in the Norther Hemisphere and lots of asparagus and peas are on the menu this week. Here in Halifax calling it "Spring" is a bad joke...I'm watching the snow fall outside my window as I write this. So I'm happy that, in addition to the spring dishes there are also those that warm my body as well.
First in was Tracy from Rah Cha Chow with a heart stopping Decadent Mac 'n Cheese. Just look at all that gooey goodness. Anyone know the number to a good Cardiologist?
Judith of Think On It shares a very intriguing Suppa Gallurese from Sardinia that will definitely bring some warmth. Spring may officially be here, but frankly, a hot cup of nourishment is what I need to help me through the cold and rainy days.
Ulrike of Kuchenlatein made some homemade spaghetti to go with my favorite dish...Spaghetti Alla Arabiatta for her husband and I'm glad she shared the recipe with us.
KatieB at Other People's Food has the right idea...make enough pasta for dinner AND lunch the next day. I try to do that here too, because pasta is the perfect leftover food. Unfortunately, all too often we pig out and eat it all at dinner! Check out her Penne with Beef & Arugula.
Kitchenetta at Got No Milk combines three of my favorite ingredients...cavatelli pasta, lentils and spinach and the marriage looks wonderful!
Dharm of Dad, Baker & Chef shares a glorious dish of Spaghetti Carbonara...sort of...and gives us a lesson in the meaning of names. You have to read the comments as well to see what others say. As Shakespeare said "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet", so I don't care what you call it, just dig in!
Sher at What Did You Eat? has a perfect remedy for a rushy day. It's Tortellini Soup and I could use some with our cold and rainy weather.
Katie at Thyme for Cooking has the antedote for wintery blahs...a huge dish of Pasta with Asparagus and Peas. It's perfect to get my mind off the snow that's falling outside my window as I write this!
Kevin of Closet Cooking knows that winter's never ending, so he made this perfect Curry Udon Soup that will warm us from the inside out.
Sherry Trifle shares another Carbonara (that's two this week) and a new cookbook to buy as well.
KC of Kits Chow is back with a little kitchen misadventure but a great dish of Spicy Rice Noodles with Shrimp & Broccoli that survived.
I have got to get me one of these....a rigatoni attachment for my daughter's pasta maker. Just look at what Marye of Apron Strings & Simmering Things made...Home-made Rigatoni. I am so jealous. My daughter will tell you that no one loves her kitchen toys as much as I do.
Deborah of What's In My Kitchen shares a story dear to my heart...but I'll let her tell it. I'm sure there will be many a nodding head and a "me too!!". She also shares a lovely looking dish of Bow Ties with Roasted Asparagus & Tomatoes.
And our favorite Bread Chick shares a very rushed dinner of perfect fridge leftovers...Chili Mac. There's nothing that makes a new meal out of leftovers better than pasta.
Chris of Mele Cotte shares a sublime dish of Egg Noodle Bake with Raisins that really reminds me of the kugels my mother used to make. Thanks for the memories.
It's finally my turn to share, no photo, at least not for this page…I finally found speck…but you’ll have to read my post to find out more. I know, it's anti-climatic after all these other fab dishes, but then again, now I have inspiration for next week. To say nothing of the new Gourmet Magazine that has pasta on the cover of the very Italian issue.

And, of course, a very big thank you to all of you for playing along and visiting every week!!! I can always count on you to make it special.
