And the hits keep coming!!! I forget which rock song that came from, but I'm happy to say this week's Presto Pasta Night Roundup is awesome. I especially love how non-traditional so many of the dishes are..Japanese, Cajun, tiramisu (okay it is Italian, but it's also dessert!). On the other side of the coin, I love how subtle differences can make a common dish extraordinary and become something so different (check out the lasagnas). But, enough about my ramblings...
Glenna of A Fridge Full of Food is recuperating from knee surgery, but that didn't stop her from being first in this week (Saturday, actually). Of course the drugs helped. I'm glad she could remember the recipe for her gorgeous looking Baked Mostaccioli.
Robin of a Clumsy Cook, is a PPN first timer - welcome and thanks for a great entry. She calls it Triumvirate Pasta because there are only 3 main ingredients - broccoli rabe (I love it), spicy sausages (even better) and Parmigano Reggiano (perfect) over the cutest cavatelli.
Judith over at Think On It loves peas and who could blame her - they're so cute and GREEN. Don't they make this dish of Ditalini (little macaroni) with Peas & Ham just make you smile?!
Amy of Nook & Pantry is back with this absolutely picture perfect Lasagna. How come mine never looks this good?
Nora of Life's Smorgasbord is another PPN first-timer and she brings this wonderful dish to our table...Orechietti with Grilled Vegetables, Feta & Roasted Garlic. Great combo! Hope you plan on visiting us again with more delightful dishes.
Myriam of Once Upon a Tart is back, I'm very pleased to say with a different spin on Lasagna - this one with Marscapone. As I've said before - you can never have too many lasagna recipes. Thanks for sharing this one.
Somehow I missed this dish last week and I do apologize, Sunita. I said there can never be enough variations of lasagna and here's another one to prove my point. Sunita of Sunita's World shares this awesome Asparagus Lasagna. It would have been a pity to miss it. Thanks for being persistent.
Paz of the most excellent Cooking Adventures of Chef Paz is back and shares this very summery Orzo Salad. It brought the sun right in through my rainy window.
Kevin of Closet Cooking is back with a vengeance, I'm happy to say. He shares two dishes and one of them was actually inspired by a previous Presto Pasta Night entry. How cool is that! (I'm not saying which one, and now you have to go hunt through all the roundups yourself. ) First up...Zha Jian Mian.
Also from Kevin is this Beef Ramen. He was worried they might not count as "Pasta" - silly guy! They're both perfect.
Dayna the Vegan Visitor is back as well, with this lip-smacking, very grown up version of Mac & Cheese - Zesty Avocado Bucatini. I'm drooling!
Katie over at Thyme for Cooking is back with this great Warm Cabbage Pasta Salad. I can't wait to try it out. I've only done a few variations of coleslaw for cabbage salads. Now I have something very different to try.
Judith, of Aroma Cucina, is another of my favorite food bloggers and PPN regulars. This time around she shares a very exotic dish - Octopus Ragu. I know I'd eat it...just not sure I'm adventurous enough to MAKE it. Guess I'll just have to visit.
SweetNicks joins us again with this awesome Scallop & Walnut Pesto over Cappellini. Perfect for me since Digby (just a couple of hours drive from Halifax) is famous for their scallops.
Another newcomer to PPN, Wendy of Teaching & Learning & a Wee Bit of Cooking brings us this great sounding dish. Notice I said "sounding" rather than "looking". She forgot to take a photo (like I've never done that!) so we'll all just have to imagine how looks and savor the flavor of Annalisa's Pasta Sauce.
Mandy of Fresh from the Oven, is new to PPN too. And I love her Triple S Pasta - Spice, Sausage & Shrimp. What's not to love.
Mary, our wonderful Bread Chick and frequent PPNer, is back with the first Presto Pasta dessert - Tiramisu Pasta Pudding.
Deborah, the Humble Housewife (so she says), is back with a glorious Spinach, Mascarpone & Mushroom Pasta Bake, plus a delightful meme, so check it out.
Tigerfish of Teczcape, a fabulous PPN regular shares this very Japanese dish of Soba Noodles with Japanese Mushrooms, Seaweed and Edamame. It takes no time to make and looks stunning.
Sher of What Did You Eat is another amazing PPN regular. This time she shares a very festive looking Baked Shrimp & Orzo with lots of secret ingredients including....you'll have to go to her site to see for yourself.
Holler at Tinned Tomatoes is another incredible PPN regular. I bet even the most devout carnivore would have no idea there was no meat in the Vegetarian Bolognaise.
Alisha of Cook, Craft, Enjoy is back with this Cajun Chicken Pasta. I love how non-traditional this dish is.
Haalo of Cook (Almost) Anything is back with the cutest new pasta (at least for me)
and great photos to boot. I'm craving her Cortecce with Grilled Artichoke Hearts, Chicken and Beetroot Greens even though it's only 7am as I write this.
Sara of I Like to Cook is back with two great salad ideas. I'll let her tell you all about the crazy weather they've been having in Western Canada. First up...Pasta Salad with veggies in a vinaigrette
and this Orzo Avocado Salad. I'm on a real avocado binge, so I'm especially happy to see this one.
Katerina of Daily Unadventures in Cooking joins us for the first time (first of many, I hope) with this very Pronto Presto Pasta. It's the perfect meal when things are crazy.
Valentina of Trembon has been meaning to join us for the last month or so. So glad she finally made it with this awesome Linguine with Clams.
I've already shared Sunita's pasta from last week and she's back with this lovely Pasta Salad with Veggies & Feta. Can you tell summer's just around the corner!?!
My daughter, Sharron and cousin Arlene in Toronto had this gorgeous looking pasta from Martha Stewart's Everyday Food Magazine, June edition. I couldn't find the recipe on line. For those of you with the June edition, it's the Pasta with Roasted Summer Vegetables & Basil. It probably will be on line next month. They left out the squash and added shrimps instead. Doesn't it look wonderful?
And now it's my turn to share....earlier in the week I noted that we've had pasta in soup, in salad, baked, stir fried...the list goes on, but not in a frittata and I do that so often with leftovers. So I thought I'd share my Presto Pasta Frittata ...
and this Lemony Zesty Farfalle with Anchovies & Grape Tomatoes.
First timer Marye of Apron Strings & Simmering Things shares this terrific Ravioli Florentine with a Tomato Basil Sauce I do hope she comes back often.
I will continue to add submissions until Saturday . After that, I will add them to next week's PPN Event. So don't forget to join in with the rest of us Presto Pasta Nighters. It's easy and fun. Remember that ALL noodles dishes count as pasta and "presto" (ready) or "lento" (slow) are perfect. Find out how right here. In the meantime...Happy Pasta Eating!!!

so many pasta ideas! thanks so much for doing this. I am definitely going to try yours since I like the combination of anchioves, lemon, tuna and caper. Oh, so Italian!
These look great! I can't believe I've already missed two weeks of PPN. I gotta get cracking so as not to miss PPN#16.
Great group of entries!
Everyone makes my mouth water - I'm going to have to kick up my exercise program to combat all of this..
WOW! Ruth, your PPN is just taking off! So many great ideas here. I've already picked out what I'm making for next week!
Great round up Ruth! It's so great to see PPN grow!
Thanks everyone, for the comments and the great recipes. They are awesome.
Mandy - glad you like my anchovy, etc. It really was a big hit here.
Rebeca - we're anxiously waiting your return.
Katiez - never mind kick my exercise up a notch - first I have to start mine up!
Sara & Amy, I know! I really was worried that no one would want to play with me.
Wow - that was the best round-up yet! I'm salivating and it's only nine in the morning... might have to make your frittata for breakfast! YUM!
What a great collection of pasta dishes, each one is unique...
Thanks for entering my humble ones...
Wow, so many pasta and noodle ideas, esp. this round. Love it! It's always great coming back. How many PPN recipes have you collected so far? Do you ever keep a PPN counter ;) ?
Deborah, thanks. The frittata is a great way to go, no matter what the pasta...well...maybe not the soup or dessert ones ;-)
Sunita, I'm glad you joined the fun and both of you dishes are wonderful.
Tigerfish, although I am mathematically challenged...I came up with 224 or 225 recipes so far. Wow (if I do say so myself!). I am so glad I stayed with the idea.
So, everyone...what's on the PPN menu next week?
Fabulous entries. I have already taken note of quite a few. And my next recipe will be making its way to your fairly soon
Valentina, I'm looking forward to it.
