Presto Pasta Nights Roundup #2

Last week's Presto Pasta Nights was really fun (I'm so glad I thought of this!) and thanks to all of you who joined the party. I'm already looking forward to next week's roundup. But first....

Before I present all the fabulous entries, I want to remind my South Beach Dietfriends, that you too, can make wonderful pasta dishes and still stay true to the diet as you can see here with my own entry -Marinara with Spinach, Mushrooms and Smoked Sausage, plus a list of other SBD friendly recipes on my blog .

My first dinner guest this week is Dhana of Food, Life, Fun with this great Spinach Pasta with Chicken & Dill. I'd never have thought of adding dill to pasta, so I'm especially glad Dhana contributed this week.

Ulrike over at her delightful Kuchenlatein in Germany shares this delicious no fuss, no muss slow cooker lasagna.

Last week Gattina of Kitchen Unplugged shared a creative dish with oysters and mint and this time around outdoes herself with homemade skewered pasta with leeks and sausage. It deserves 2 photos, don't you think?

Anh of Food Lover's Journey is back, I'm glad to say, with one of her favorite comfort dishes - rice noodles this time topped with a stir fry of ginger beef and Chinese broccoli. I bet it will become one of your favorite comfort dishes too. I know it will be one of mine.

Lis of La Mia Cucina joins us for the first time (and hopefully not the last) and shares this easy, tasty Pad Thai. Doesn't it look beautiful?...almost too good to eat!

Rosa of the fabulous Rosa's Yummy Yums came up with this exotic pasta of saffron sauce with lump eggs (we call them fish roe) and the gorgeous yellow and black is a real show stopper!

Alisha of Cook, Craft, Enjoy is back with a very hearty looking Spaghetti Bolognese. Great for a wintry evening.

Like me, Shelley of the great S'kat and the Food (I love her site), is a little late in entering, but better late than never I always say. After realizing she didn't have all the ingredients for the dish she really wanted to make (Shelley, we're expecting to see it sometime soon) she put this together...Bucatini with Spicy Sausage & Spinach - my kind of dish! And speaking of dishes...Shelley noticed that both she and Alisha have the same taste in bowls as well as pasta!

Tanya of Veggie Love, just got her Penne ala Vodka in in time for the roundup. Looks great and I love this plate too!

And, my own last entry, Mushroom Strogonov, that's not quite as calorie & fat intensive as it's name implies, but certainly rich in taste, so SB dieters can also enjoy it occasionally.

I will be adding late additions until Saturday. Any I receive after that will be part of next week's Presto Pasta Nights Event. So don't forget to join the fun. Remember that ALL noodles dishes count as pasta for this fun event. Find out how to participate here.

In the meantime....Happy Pasta Eating!!!

Ha! Do you realize that the entry above mine was using the same exact bowl?

Alisha- Target, right? ;)

What a nice selection... I'm particularly looking forward to trying out the stir fry as well!

One more reason I wish they had Target here in Ontario!

Not only are the bowls pretty, but the food is awesome!

Thanks for participating - what's up for next week?

Aw, thank you!
I'm in my "starter" studio apartment, and my dishes are the only thing I bought that I hope to keep very-long-term. Luckily they were also only $30 for a 4-person set from Mikasa. :)
Now, if only there were a Target by me.

er, sorry, that was me

So many great pasta ideas. I hope I'll find some more slow-cooker pasta dishes. The crockpot is a life saver for working mums. School ends at lunch time in Germany.
