Perfect Pasta for Days Like This

Of course today is actually sunny and lovely, but we had a terrible storm a few days ago when I was feeling equally drippy and chilled.  And even though the tag line for the recipe in one of my favorite Italian cookbooks Pasta Et Cetera a la di Stasio read "this summer dish bursts with freshness", it also brightens up the dreariest of days.
