Sicilian Pasta with Roasted Cauliflower for Presto Pasta Night

I couldn't resist this fantastic recipe from Lucy Waverman's new book A Year in Lucy's Kitchen: Seasonal Recipes and Memorable Meals which is phenomenal and I'll be writing all about it very soon, but it is Presto Pasta Night tomorrow and this Sicilian Pasta with Roasted Cauliflower is absolutely spectacular and perfect for the season. In fact, it's so good I want to make it again tonight!

The secret ingredients...well they wouldn't be secret if I told you.... capers and anchovies and even if you and/or your table mates turn their noses up at anchovies, they won't really taste them but they will say "More, please!"

Joanne, who fortunately, Eats Well With Others is hosting for the second time. Send all your amazing dishes to her via email jhbruno87 (at) gmail (dot) com and cc me ruth (at) 4everykitchen (dot) com

Guidelines to share your pasta dishes.

And if you'd like to host a Presto Pasta Night Roundup yourself, just send me an email. November and beyond are wide open. What are you waiting for...it's great fun and a fabulous way to get introduced to other awesome bloggers.

Isn't it amazing how much a few anchovies can improve a dish? I don't think I ate one until I was well into my thirties, but now they are a regular grocery purchase.

You're spot on about the anchovies, Ruth. How many people try one of my recipes and say it didn't come out well for them and then admit they didn't use the anchovies because "X doesn't like them." You can't even tell they are there! It's just amazing the difference they make. AAMOF that can be a problem, because my kid is allergic to them and they can be very well hidden indeed.

Nice dish. Eat more anchovies!

Delicious Ruth! I love roasted cauliflower and even though I still haven't tried anchovies, I think I am going to be brave and not opt to leave them out the next time they are called for. It's about time, dont you think?
