Presto Pasta Night Roundup #88

The list might be short this week, but don't let that fool you. Each dish is wonderful and I don't know which one to try first. Check them out and you'll understand my dilemma.

Pam of Sidewalk Shoes sent in this perfect dish of my personal favorite comfort food...Spaghetti Bolognese. Nothing perks me up better when I'm feeling low or stressed.

I can't wait to try the Thai Sweet Chili Noodles that Mary of One Perfect Bite dished up. It looks absolutely wonderful. I can smell it all the way over here in Halifax Nova Scotia!

As Ching of Little Corner of Mine points out...you don't need to start from scratch to come up with a very fabulous dish. Check out her Chicken Alfredo Spaghetti.

Katie of One Little Corner of the World whipped up this simple and tasty dish. I know my son-in-law in particular is going to love it...Steak Pasta with Gorgonzola & Spinach.

Daphne of More Than Words made a fantastic pasta...I hope I can find some XO sauce here in Halifax...XO Stir Fried Noodles. Seriously, doesn't it look wonderful?

Psychgrad of Equal Opportunity Kitchen cooked up a very tasty looking Chorizo Pappardelle with Tomato Sauce that makes me drool.

City Girl of City Girl Lifestyle shares a luscious looking Meyer Lemon Creme Fraiche Linguine...what are my chances of finding Meyer lemons in Halifax????

Priya of Priya's Easy N Tasty Recipes has a great recipe for Creamy Prawns 'n Veggie Spaghetti.

Christine of Eat First, Diet Later (I love that philosophy!) made this tasty Fettuccine Marinara. It's so easy and so much less expensive to dine in than eat out these days. Oh...and happy belated anniversary.

Marye of Baking Delights shares another very tasty, very economical dish...Fajita Casserole perfect for the financial crunch we're all facing. Imagine...feeding a crowd for $5.

Abby of Eat the Right Stuff, really means business with this scrumptious, gorgeous and healthy Pasta with Double Tomato & Courgette Sauce.

Johanna, Green Gourmet Giraffe brought the most intriguing dish to the table and I'm drooling...Roasted Asparagus, Tomatoes & Caper Pasta and a few secret ingredients too.

And last, but definitely not least, Italian Wedding Soup from my new favorite cookbook......Barefoot Contessa Back to Basics...awesome. Read my review.

If you remember, I said that November would be the start of a new tradition...from now on I'll be hosting the first Friday of each month and fabulous guest hosts will be doing the magic for the rest of the month. Check here for the schedule...but next week, we'll all be visiting Vanielje Kitchen, which is awesome...beautiful photos, wonderful writing and delicious recipes...is that not the most fantastic combo! Send your entries directly to africanvanielje AT vanielje DOT com

Plus...Don't forget to check all the Presto Pasta Night Roundups dating back to March, 2007, see who's hosting for the next four weeks and check out guidelines and tips for entering and hosting.

If you have any ideas for a topic for Presto Pasta Night, let me know. Facebook members, please visit the

But for now...bon appetit!

Hi Ruth -- I am going to add an update on my blog -- a friend of mine actually made the Lemon Linguine with regular lemons and she said it worked fine -- she used just under a full lemon's worth of juice, and a touch of cooking water too bring it all together. :)

That woudl be to bring it together. I am still asleep clearly.

Great tip...sleepy or not ;-) Thanks for sharing and I'm still going to hunt for Meyer lemons.
