Presto Pasta Night Roundup #54

This is a slightly unorthodox way to start the Presto Pasta Night Roundup, but excellent, none the less.

I love FineCooking Magazinewhich also has a great website and a newsletter that comes to my "door". There's nothing more enjoyable than having my morning coffee and checking out what's new in the world of food, finding a great tip or recipe and this morning , I found a video clip on how to use a pasta maker. Perfect intro to the roundup I thought. So without further ado....

First in was a new PPNer, Apu of Annarasa brings a wonderful, quick and healthful dish of Pasta with Chickpeas & Parsley.

Sara of I Like to Cook missed a couple of great opportunities to write down delicious pasta recipes for us (I've been there, myself). Thankfully, she didn't forget this time around with a Creamy, Mushroom Pasta. I'm drooling!

TBC or The Budding Cook, shares the cutest Pinwheel Pasta with Roasted Vegetable Sauce. There's nothing like roasting to bring out the earthy sweetness of vegetables. Quite the combo here!

Katerina of Daily Unadventures in Cooking brings a creamy Tortellini with Mushrooms, Ham & Red Peppers that has me wishing for my own bowlful.

Johanna, my favorite Green Gourmet Giraffe has the prettiest pasta to share. Just check out these beauties and try not to smile...I dare you! She topped it with a yummy sounding Mint & Parmesan Sauce that will perk up even ordinary pasta.

Gay, that very cool Scientist in the Kitchen always comes up with an interesting Filipino pasta for us. This time it's Pancit Molo and it sounds awesome.

The lovely (and funny) Katie of Thyme for Cooking shares a fantastic Sausage and Spinach Lasagna and a taste of Spring...I'm jealous of both!

Marye at Apron Strings and Simmering Things brings another sausage dish to the table. This one is a Penne Rustica that has me salivating.

Kit of Kittens in the Kitchen just got back from a ski trip and whipped up this perfectly, heavenly Thai Noodle Soup. Don't you want some?

Ricki at Diet Dessert n Dogs, shares Spaghetti with Lentil Tomato Sauce that would trick any carnivore.

Patsy at Family, Friends & Food is trying to eat healthier and shares this Whole Wheat Pasta Salad that sounds perfect.

Tigerfish of Teczcape is back with a glorious bowl of Soba &Pork Rib Tea Soup...you'll have to head over there and discover what "tea" is.

Abby of Eat the Right Stuff, hasn't been around here for a while, but she's finally back with meatless but meaty dish of Spaghetti with Lentil & Mushroom Ragu. I'm up for that!

Ferdzy of Seasonal Ontario Foods takes strogonof to a new level of deliciousness with this Pasta with Zingy Mushroom & Sour Cream Sauce. Check out the secret ingredient.

Bellini Valli of More Than Burnt Toast has the right idea...enough of winter! So let's all take a great big dish of her Bruschetta Pasta and say HELLO Spring!

Psychgrad of Equal Opportunity Kitchen has another great cure for winter and snow...Tequila Lime Shrimp Pasta...what more can you wish for, except perhaps a sunny beach to eat it on.

Michelle, the Greedy Gourmet made a stunning looking Gorgonzola Spaghetti dish...not lo cal, but very yummy.

Rita of the fantastic Mochachocolata-Rita, shares this screen licking dish of Satay Beef Ramen...seriously delicious looking!

Kitchenetta of Got No Milk knows how to do Pasta with Roasted Vegetables and goes the extra mile with some balsamic vinegar...delish!

Neen at Post-Collegiate Cooking a Deux is a first time PPNer and shares a most inviting Chicken Cacciatore with Pasta. Let's all drop by her place. It looks like the bowls are waiting just for us.

Argus Lou of Argus World is another new PPNer and she had a fun looking day on the slopes of Mount Titlis and a perfect way to end it... a quick and easy Spaghetti with Herring.

Katie at Other People's Food serves up a great recipe for Homemade Tagliatelle with Sprouting Broccoli and Oozy Fontina and a secret I personally share...I'm not telling, you have to check it out for yourself.

KC of KitsChow made some Braised Short Ribs with Noodles and if there's one thing I love as much as pasta, it's short ribs. She made hers in a pressure cooker which scares me to death, so I'll do it slowly. How about you?

Gattina of Kitchen Unplugged is always very creative, and especially so this week. Check out this stunning Beret with Artichoke Sauce & Mandarin Oranges. It takes my breath away.

Sher of What Did You Eat? is back in spite of her bum knee...get better soon!...with this gorgeous dish of Papardelle with Wild Mushrooms, Asparagus and Pistachios that just screams "SPRING!". And we all could use some of that.

Chris over at Mele Cotte serves up a quick and tasty Lasagna and has a question for you...

It's finally my turn to share and this week I adapted a great Jamie Oliver recipe Shrimp Vermicelli with Shrimps & Arugula...my attempt at pretending it's Spring.

As always, a very big thank you to all of you for playing along and visiting every week!!! I know 2008 will be an awesome pasta year.

Yes.Another yummy week!

Hmmm...I have not heard of shrimp vermicell but the way it's done in the dish, it's almost like Singapore Fried vermicelli without the arugula :P

Ruth, right after I read this round-up, I immediately rushed to kichen to check if I still got vermicelli and shrimps (yes! YES!!!). Nothing better to start my day than enjoying PPN, then planning out splendid lunch!
