Presto Pasta Night Roundup #53

We’re on year number TWO!!! Can you believe it!?! Check out our new graphics...I do love my very talented and creative cousin Sheldon. He came up with this in just a few minutes after my last minute begging yesterday.

Last week’s Presto Pasta Night birthday bash was awesome. Thanks all for joining in the fun. I can't imagine what everyone will come up with this year. We're off to an exceptional start as you can see with this week's entries.

What's really amazing is how many gluten free dishes you'll find this week. So don't forget to mention it to all your loved ones with gluten intolerances.

I'm ashamed to say, I was so busythis past week...I don't even know with what, that I never got to submit my own entry. Frankly, there are so many great dishes that I'm hoping you don't notice. So let's start the show....

First in this week is Windy of Windy's Corner with a very interesting dish...Pork Noodles & Rhubarb Sauce...what an intriguing combination! And I am really craving rhubarb. It really does say to me that Spring is here.

Next up is Kitchenetta of Got No Milk . She's away, but she shares an over the top bowl of Minestrone that I can't wait to sink my teeth into (and it's so thick, you actually can). Perfect since winter is definitely not over yet, even if the sun is shining today.

...and I couldn't resist her PPN birthday greeting...

New PPNer Nuria Spanish Recipes shares this awesome Seafood Noodle Casserole. And check out this cool presentation...plus a great slide show "how to". Like I said, we're off to a truly fantastic year of pasta.

Mimi of All Things Mimi is a first time PPNer and she takes that old favorite Mac 'n Cheese to a new level using Gouda and onions.

Becke, the fantastic Columbus Foodie is finally back here with one of my personal favorite comfort dishes...Baked Stuffed Pasta Shells. I'm in heaven!

Gattina at Kitchen Unplugged hasn't visited for a while but her first for the new year is wonderful...so Spring (which would be so welcome!), so beautiful and made with rice for those with gluten challenges...Rice Macaroni with Fresh Peas.

Palachinka is another first time PPNer and, so far has the most unique pasta dish yet... Fern Root Vermicelli with Chicken & Dried Enoki Mushrooms...which I don't think has any flour, so another gluten free dish.

Katie of Thyme for Cooking shares a very provocative post - lots of discussion, check it out and a dazzling dish of Lumaconi with Proscuito & Goat Cheese.

Kevin, Closet Cooking (at its best) has a perfect cold weather dish that still has me thinking "Springtime"...Avgolemono Soup with Orzo.

Mike of Mike's Table is back with a dish of ...not your ordinary Lasagna...I'll let him tell you all about it, but doesn't it look awesome!

Judith of Think On It is back with a really interesting dish from Northern Sardinia..Pana Frattau. It uses bread instead of the usual pasta. Doesn't that look wonderful? I wonder if the Italian Gourmet store near me carries the pane....

Miri of Room For Dessert and Avi shared in this droolingly delicious looking Cream & Raisin Pasta Sauce...He did the cooking, she did the writing and photography - great teamwork!

KC of Kits Chow shares another gluten free (at least I think it would be) pasta dish with a more than a funky name...Ants Climbing up a Tree and it's made with dried mung bean vermicelli.

And still another gluten free dish! Sarah of What Smells So Good?! shares this gluten free, vegan Pizza Pasta. that would appeal to any of us.

Sher over at What Did You Eat? has me drooling and whimpering for this lovely dish of Nigella's Sesame Peanut Noodles (the whimpering is for spring to come and a copy of my own of Nigella Express).

Anna of Morsels and Musings is back with yet another gluten free, finger licking good recipe. This one is Fried Noodle Rolls with Spicy Peanut Sauce. Slurp, slurp!

It's always a treat when Haalo of Cook (Almost) Anything shares a dish with us. Her photos alone are worth a visit to her site. And this dish of Penne with Smoked Trout and Heritage Tomatoes has me drooling...and whimpering for Spring and Summer.

So, nothing from me, but I promise next week I'll do better. All I can say, is ENJOY!

Don't forget to join in the Presto Pasta Night experience and please visit the Presto Pasta Gang on Facebook.

As always, from the bottom of my heart (and stomach)...a very big thank you to all of you for playing along and visiting every week!!! I know 2008 will be an awesome pasta year.

Gattina, I'm glad you like the graphic AND all the great dishes.

Katiez, all you have to do to get the new graphic is to right mouse click over my sidebar photo for PPN and click "save as picture" to wherever you like on your computer.

And thanks for mentioning it. I fixed the sidebar photo that was obviously wrong.
