A while ago, I joined the Canadian Blogging By Post fun. It was first conceived by Ivonne at Creampuffs in Venice and organized and facilitated this time around by Jasmine of Confessions of a Cardamom Addict. And today I received my fabulous gift box from Orange Souffle in Vancouver!
As you can see, I couldn't even wait for something to spread the delicious homemade chestnut jam she made for me. It's delicious - so vanilla-y. And, because we both are vanilla fans, she sent me a bottle of William Sonoma's Vanilla Syrup - won't that be awesome spooned over some vanilla ice cream or poached pears?!
Not only did I get packages of chestnuts so I can make her awesome sounding Chestnut & Bacon Risotto with Savoy Cabbage. I'm saving that for when my daughter comes to town this weekend - she loves risotto, plus she loves bacon but won't cook it at home.
I love curries - how did she know!?! And now I have a new curry mix to try out a box of Kokumaro curry mix with a recipe on the back to boot!
And last, but definitely not least, the cutest stand, small enough to fit on my miniscule counter and deep enough to hold a big cookbook. Now maybe my recipes won't be so icky when I'm done.
All in all - it's been a great morning. Thanks so much for your thoughtful package!!!
