Sauteed Broccoli with Red Chili Flakes & Almonds

Sauteed Broccoli with Red Chili Pepper Flakes & Toasted Almonds
Adapted from The Sonoma Diet

Prep time: 5 minutes
Sauté time: 5-8 minutes
Serves 2

3 cups broccoli florets
2 cloves, garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup toasted almond slivers or slices
¼ - ½ tsp crushed red chili pepper seeds
Zest & juice of ½ lemon

1. In a large, non stick skillet, over medium heat, sauté the broccoli in oil until crisp tender (about 5 minutes). Add the lemon juice and chili peppers, toss and serve topped with toasted almonds.

This is a great side for any grilled dish.
